Too long I dared to stare at the light
Where the worlds wolves are out of sight
With blighted eyes I blink to find
Kind, blissful light, you have made me blind
Too long I dared to play with darkness
Where every pain I lost to madness
If I stay would I succumb to your gyrating abyss
Of rage, remorse, and to the Reapers kiss?
From then on I stayed in between these hues
Of black and white along pink and blues
Though safe, here I find, gone is my muse
Blind or dead? Now I have to choose.
